Amazon's Mechanical Turk
Beginning to use Mechanical Turk can be a daunting expedition if you are trying to figure it out on your own. There are several tools you'll need to get started successfully, and several communities where you can mingle with other workers and ask for advice.

I recommend at the least getting Turkopticon, TurkMaster, and the MTurkHit Database to start.
For your first 10 days you are limited to 100 HITs a day. The most HITs you do, the better stuff will open up to you. I know checking receipts for a penny might seem like a waste of time, but they add up and help with your numbers.
For a rundown of the essential tools you'll need see http://indiaturkers.com/scripts.html
I highly recommend joining the best Turkers forum @ turkernation.com; they are immensely helpful and kind to new turkers
